Dr. William E. Hartman, DDS

U.S. Navy Veteran · Kansas Native · 40+ Years of Service

Dr. Hartman's journey in dentistry began with a love for his community and a desire to serve. After earning his Bachelor of Science from the University of Kansas in 1978 and his Doctor of Dental Surgery from UMKC in 1983, he served his country as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps from 1983–1986, then continued service as a Captain in the Naval Reserves through 2013.

He established Dr. Hartman Dentistry in Bonner Springs in 1991, and for over 30 years has specialized in same-day custom dentures — a skill refined through thousands of cases and an average of 45 hours of continuing education every year.

When dental implants became widely available in 1989, Dr. Hartman immediately pursued advanced training and has been restoring smiles with implants for over 35 years. His goal is simple: treat every patient like family, and make sure they leave with a confident, functional smile.

Outside the office, Dr. Hartman is a Kansas native through and through. He and his wife Kim have been married since 1980 and have three grown daughters. He enjoys boating, jet skiing, bird hunting, military history, and cheering on KU Basketball — and spending time with his two dogs (Beatrice & Dougie) and two Siamese cats (Dottie & Kit).
